Shopping at FWDG
What does FWDG stand for?
FWDG stands for "Fun While Doing Good." It reflects our belief that great business and meaningful community impact go hand in hand. It's been our motto since the Mark family founded the store in 1972.
Where is FWDG located?
Our showroom and warehouse are located at 745 Robert Smalls Parkway, Beaufort, SC 29906. We serve the entire Lowcountry, including Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Port Royal, Lady's Island, and surrounding communities.
What are your store hours?
Our showroom is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 4:15 PM.
How big is the FWDG showroom?
Our Beaufort showroom features 48,000 square feet of retail space with an extensive selection of furniture, mattresses, home decor, and outdoor living from over 75 trusted brands.
What brands does FWDG carry?

Does FWDG price match?

Can I place a custom order?
Absolutely. If you don't find exactly what you're looking for on our showroom floor, our team can help you place a custom order with your preferred fabrics, finishes, and specifications. Just ask any of our sales associates or Design Consultants to get started.
Design Services
Does FWDG offer interior design services?
Yes. We offer complimentary design services from our experienced Design Consultants, including one free in-home consultation. Whether you're refreshing a single room or furnishing an entire home, our team will help you make confident choices that fit your style, your space, and your budget.
How do I schedule a design consultation?
Give us a call at 843-524-8695 or stop by the showroom and ask to speak with one of our Design Consultants. They'll set up a time that works for you — including the free in-home visit.
Do I have to pay for the in-home consultation?
No. Your first in-home consultation is complimentary. It's one of the ways we go above and beyond to make your furniture shopping experience personal and stress-free.
How experienced are your Design Consultants?
Our design team has years of hands-on experience, and several of our consultants have been with FWDG for 20 years or more. They know furniture, they know the Lowcountry, and they know how to bring a room together.
Financing & Payment
What payment methods does FWDG accept?
All orders must be paid in full or financed at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards, cash, checks, and offer financing options through the Nest Credit Card program.
Does FWDG offer financing?
Yes. FWDG is a partner in the Nest Credit Card program, issued by Comenity Capital Bank, a Bread Financial company. Financing is subject to credit approval, and a soft inquiry is used to check your eligibility — which will not affect your credit score. Visit our Financing page for full details.
Do I need to put down a deposit?
Our policy requires all orders to be paid in full or financed at the time of purchase. There is no separate deposit structure — your order is secured when payment or financing is completed.
Delivery & Pickup
Does FWDG deliver furniture?
Yes. We offer affordable white glove delivery throughout the Beaufort area and the surrounding Lowcountry, including Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Port Royal, and more. Our team brings your furniture inside and places it in the room of your choice.
How fast is delivery?
In-stock items average a 3-day delivery time. Custom orders vary based on manufacturer lead times, and our team will keep you updated on estimated arrival dates.
Can FWDG remove my old furniture?
Yes. We offer removal of old merchandise at a low cost when your new furniture is delivered.
Can I pick up my order instead?
Absolutely. Warehouse pickup is available Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 4:15 PM at our Beaufort location. We ask for 24 hours' notice when possible so we can have your order ready. Visit our Delivery page for full details.
What do I need to bring for pickup?
You'll need a copy of the enclosed invoice and a photo ID. The person picking up must be listed or authorized on the invoice. If someone else is picking up on your behalf, please call our Customer Service Department in advance to authorize them.
What happens on delivery day?
Our team will contact you to confirm your delivery window. When they arrive, they'll carefully bring your furniture inside, place it in the room of your choice, and ask you to inspect each piece. Can I reschedule my delivery?
Yes, but we ask that any changes or cancellations be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date to avoid additional fees of up to 30%.
Returns & Cancellations
Can I return furniture to FWDG?
In-stock, regular-priced items may be returned or cancelled within 24 hours of the date of sale for a refund, less a 30% restocking fee and any incurred delivery charges. Special order items that have been delivered may be returned within 24 hours of delivery for in-store credit, less a 30% restocking/service charge. Full details are on our Returns page.
Can I cancel a special order?
Special orders can only be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order — before it has been submitted to the manufacturer. After that, the order becomes non-cancellable.
Are clearance items returnable?
No. All clearance, closeout, and "As Is" merchandise is final sale with no returns, exchanges, or credits.
What is the mattress comfort guarantee?
Certain mattresses come with a comfort guarantee that allows you to exchange the mattress for a different model after sleeping on it for at least 30 days. A $200 fee applies, and all eligibility conditions must be met. Visit our Returns page for the complete requirements.
How long does a refund take?
Cash and check refunds are processed within 72 hours of the product being returned. Financed purchases are refunded to the finance company, and charge card refunds go back to the original card.
Order Storage
Will FWDG hold my furniture if I'm not ready for it?
Yes. We're happy to hold all non-clearance merchandise free of charge for up to 90 days after it's received at our warehouse.
What happens after 90 days?
A storage fee of $100 is applied on the 1st of each month after the 90-day mark until the item is delivered or picked up. See our Store Policies page for full details.
Warranty & Protection
Does my furniture come with a warranty?
Yes. Non-clearance furniture is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which typically covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use. FWDG coordinates directly with the manufacturer on your behalf if an issue arises.
What does the warranty cover?
Coverage varies by manufacturer, but typically includes frame defects, mechanism failures, and certain material issues. Normal wear and tear, sun fading, and accidental damage are generally not covered. Ask your sales associate about specific warranty details at the time of purchase.
Does FWDG offer protection plans?
Yes. We offer Protection 1st (PRO1) plans, which cover accidental damage like stains, rips, tears, and burns that fall outside of the manufacturer warranty. It's an affordable way to protect your investment.
How do I file a warranty or protection plan claim?
Contact FWDG. Our team will review the issue with you and either coordinate with the manufacturer or help you navigate the PRO1 claims process. Visit our Warranty page for full details.
